Delhi Police Call Off Strike

New Delhi: On Tuesday, Delhi Police announced an ex-gratia of Rs 25,000 each for the cops injured in the November 2 clashes with lawyers at the Tis Hazari court premises as hundreds of police officers and their family members hit the streets on Tuesday to protest the advocates ' attack on some of their colleagues. Talking to the agitating cops here at the Police Headquarters, Special Commissioner Satish Golcha said, "We will give the best treatment to the injured cops during the clashes and also give the wounded cops an ex-gratia of Rs 25,000 each." Golcha also said that a case has been registered in the Saket Court incident, in which a lawyer was seen assaulting a policeman on Monday.
