New Delhi: The BJP is expected to retain power in Haryana, where it fell short of a majority, with today's Gopal Kanda of Haryana Lokhit Party announcing that six independent MLAs are willing to give the ruling party unconditional support. The announcement follows a series of meetings held since yesterday following a hung verdict in the Haryana election as eight independent MLAs were reached by the BJP, which emerged as the largest party. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, in Delhi to meet the BJP leadership, had said he was optimistic about forming a government soon in Haryana.
