JNU Students Lathi-Charged By Police in Delhi

New Delhi: On Monday, police cracked down on Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students in New Delhi's Sarojini Nagar area marching to Rashtrapati Bhawan to register their protest against a proposed increase in the hostel fee. Students called the march from the university campus to the president's residence after a month-long protest in vain, with the administration refusing their demand for the full rollback of the planned increase in hostel charges.
