Narendra Modi arrives in Chennai ahead of Xi Jinping visit

Chennai: On Friday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Chennai ahead of his informal meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping who will be in town by 2 pm. A safety exercise has been put in place for the summit, including the sealing of main roads, in and around Mamallapuram's seaside resort. India looks forward to the unstructured meeting between Xi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clear the air and pursue bilateral relations following a challenging exchange on the Kashmir between the two sides, including China's support for Pakistan on the issue.
