SC referred Sabarimala case to a Larger 7-Judge Bench

New Delhi: Today, the Supreme Court referred petitions seeking a review of its decision to allow women of all ages to join a larger seven-judge bench in Kerala's Sabarimala Temple. The Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi said the issue of whether women of all ages should be allowed into Sabarimala was part of a wider discussion that also included issues such as allowing Muslim and Parsi women to enter religious practice. "Fresh opportunities to be given to all parties," the Chief Justice said.
