Mumbai: Shiv Sena Leader Uddhav Thackeray is set to be Maharashtra's next Chief Minister after BJP's Devendra Fadnavis finished his second 80-hour term before facing the Supreme Court's ordered floor check. Fadnavis resigned shortly after leader Ajit Pawar left the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) as his deputy, unable to win over MLAs to help keep the BJP in place."I had never dreamed of leading the state. I would like to thank Sonia Gandhi and others,"Uddhav Thackeray said after being elected to lead the alliance. He met the Governor on Tuesday evening and staked claim to form the government.
