Mumbai: Uddhav Thackeray of the Shiv Sena met with President Sharad Pawar of the National Congress Party (NCP) in Mumbai for over an hour on Thursday, capping a day of hectic talks to strengthen the contours of government formation in Maharashtra. Following their late-night meeting at Pawar's ' Silver Oak ' residence in southern Mumbai, the three parties — the Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress — will hold more talks on Friday about their efforts to form a government in the politically-crucial western state.
Uddhav Thackeray was accompanied late Thursday by his son Aaditya, Worli's first-time lawmaker, to the Sharad Pawar meeting.
