Union Cabinet Clears Citizenship Amendment Bill

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to table the 2016 Citizenship (Amendment) Bill at the ongoing winter session after it was cleared by the Union Cabinet at a crucial meeting headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Following Modi's nod, the Home Minister is expected to introduce the citizenship bill in the current winter session.
