Mumbai: The Governor of Maharashtra, C.P. Radhakrishnan, visited Mumbai’s famous Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav ‘Lalbaug-cha Raja’ during the ongoing Ganesh festival.
In addition, the governor interacted with devotees and, on this occasion, and recorded his thoughts on Ganeshotsav in an official paper kept at the Ganshotsav Mandal.
The 10-day Ganpathy Festival comes to an end on Tuesday, September 17.
The governor also visited the Ganesha of Hamal Mandal, Mumbai Central, and Shri Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Sanstha at Keshavji Naik Chawl, Girgaon, Mumbai.
Besides, the governor interacted with devotees and, on this occasion, recorded his thoughts on Ganeshotsav in an official paper kept at the Ganshotsav Mandal.
Governor’s eco-friendly Ganesh statue immersed in an artificial pond at Rajbhawan
On Wednesday, September 11, the eco-friendly Ganesh, installed at the residence of Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan, was immersed in an artificial pond at Raj Bhavan on the fifth day of Ganeshotsav.
The Governor bid farewell to Ganesh after performing the aarti with his family members, Raj Bhavan officers and staff.

The Governor desired that the Ganesh idol be immersed in an artificial pond to prevent seawater pollution. Accordingly, the murti was immersed in an artificial pond.
The principal secretary to the Governor, Pravin Darade, joint secretary Shweta Singhal, comptroller Jitendra Wagh, and other officers and employees were present.
The clay Ganesh idol installed at Raj Bhavan was created by an inmate of Nashik Central Prison.
