Mumbai: An old video of Salman Khan talking about his experience working with Aamir is doing the rounds on social media.
Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan were both navigating their way in the industry at one time. They are currently at the peak of their careers. In the video, Salman shares a journey that resonates with many.
This video is from the sets of ‘Andaz Apna Apna,’ on which Aamir and Salman worked together in 1993.
In the video, Salman is heard saying, “He is good fun to work with. He is nice and very hardworking. He makes me work twice as hard. We vibe pretty well.”
‘Andaz Apna Apna’, a film that was initially criticized by the experts, has defied all odds and become a cult classic over the years. It’s a testament to the unpredictable nature of the film industry and the enduring appeal of this iconic comedy from Bollywood.
It tells the story of two gold diggers attempting to woo an heiress to access her father’s wealth. They soon realise that the heiress has exchanged her identity with that of her secretary. By then, one of them is genuinely in love with the heiress, and the other gold digger has fallen for the secretary.
The film, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, also starred Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon. It’s not just the performances and the songs that have made this film a classic, but also the unforgettable dialogues like “Teja main hu. Mark Idhar hai,” “Crime Master Gogo, Mogambo ka Bhatija,” and “Do dost ek cup me chay piece.” These lines have become a part of our cultural lexicon, evoking a sense of nostalgia and connection to the film’s legacy.
Interestingly, Raveena once shared that all four lead actors didn’t get along on the film’s sets. This resurfaced video of Salman paints a completely different picture from what Raveena had said.
Meanwhile, Aamir has once again joined forces with Rajkumar Santoshi. However, this time, the actor is a co-producer.
The film also stars Paresh Rawal. It was released almost three decades ago.
