Los Angeles: Singer-songwriter Katy Perry, known for songs such as ‘California Gurls’, ‘Chained to the Rhythm’, ‘Roar’, and others, recently made a bold statement through her dress and her words on social media.

The singer recently took to her Instagram and shared a carousel of pictures and videos in which she was seen pulling off an unconventional outfit, including a skirt above the hip length. The pictures and videos are from her recent West Hollywood, California gig.

She wrote in the caption, “They say I do it for the male gaze, but the truth is I do it for the MALE GAYSSSS. Thank you @evitaparty for hosting a fabulous party last night 143. I love you.”

Her fans, as always, were quick to show their support in the comments section of her post, creating a sense of connection and unity.

One user wrote, “The hottest in the industry.”

Another commented, “This is how you peak motherism (sic).”

A third user called her a “Queen” in the comments.

While many fans loved her Instagram post, a few people in the comments section disagreed.

An Internet user wrote, “This is peak mid-life crisis, unfortunately.”

Another wrote, “This has nothing to do with becoming a mother. This is a PR stunt at its best because of the new album. It’s meant to get people noticing her, and what way to get noticed if your voice isn’t that good……? Lack of clothes and flesh showing.”

Recently, the singer-songwriter found herself in a controversy with the Spanish government. Allegations surfaced that the music video of her song ‘Lifetimes’ was filmed at a restricted location in Spain. A government agency in Spain claimed that the production company behind the song did not have clearance to film on location. This unexpected turn of events has left many intrigued.
