New Delhi: Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has officially retired from international and IPL formats following an incredible career spanning more than ten years.

Dhawan, known as Gabbar for his unique style of play both on and off the field, has been a source of entertainment for cricket fans. His journey has been nothing short of incredible, leaving a lasting impression on the game.

Dhawan has been a key player since his debut for India in 2010, contributing significantly to the team’s successes in all formats. His dynamic on- and off-field antics and powerful batting have been instrumental in many of India’s victories, making the nation proud.

His illustrious career peaked in the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, where his exceptional performance earned him the esteemed “Mr ICC” tag as the tournament’s best player. His dynamic innings and crucial contributions were instrumental in India’s victories. He has been the first batsman to hit back-to-back centuries in IPL and holds the record for hitting the most fours in IPL. He has also captained both Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad simultaneously, so no other player has had an opportunity to lead so far.

Dhawan is all set to focus on his business ventures with the “DaOne Group and his ownership of the Delhi Premier League team, South Delhi Superstars.”
