The Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari today felicitated doctors, social workers, municipal and police officer, police constable, auto rikshaw driver and journalists from North East Mumbai at a felicitation of Corona Warriors held at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.
The felicitation of Corona Warriors was organized by the Shri Mulund Yuvak Prerana Trust under the leadership of Member of Parliament Manoj Kotak. Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council Pravin Darekar was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Koshyari said Indian culture regards service to others as the true religion – ‘Seva Paramo Dharma’. He said even the poorest of the poor person in India has an inherent urge to help those in need.
Congratulating the Covid – 19 Warriors, the Governor said, India tackled the Covid – 19 pandemic much better than other countries because of the spirit of service and compassion displayed by its doctors, nurses, social workers and ordinary citizens. The Governor said India can tackle even a bigger calamity than the Covid 19 pandemic on the strength of the compassion, empathy and the feeling of cooperation of the people.
