New Delhi: A 35-year-old gym owner was fatally shot in Delhi’s Greater Kailash-I, according to police.

At 10:45 p.m. on Thursday, the PCR, local police, crime team, Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankit Chauhan rushed to the crime scene.

The dead was identified as Nadir Ahmed Shah, who ran the gym with his partner.

The cause of the crime has yet to be determined.

The gym owner, who had five bullet wounds, was taken to Max Hospital and declared dead.

Rajendra Sharda, President of the Resident Welfare Association, stated that two assailants riding a scooter started indiscriminate fire on Shah as he was returning home after closing the gym for the day.

The accused shot more than a dozen rounds at the victim.

Sharda said Shah, an Afghan-origin resident of CR Park, founded the gym around six months ago.

Police have formed five teams to investigate the murder and are looking over CCTV evidence.

According to DCP Ankit Chauhan, technical monitoring and CCTV footage will resolve the case soon.

According to sources, Shah was a police informant who knew senior  Delhi Police personnel.

According to certain unsubstantiated social media posts, Rohit Godara, a close associate of Goldy Brar from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has accepted responsibility for the crime.

Godara claimed he ordered Shah’s murder because his aide Samir Baba, who is behind bars at Tihar, texted him that Shah was interfering with their business deals.

“If anyone else should dare to do the same, they will meet the same fate,” the post read.
