US, UK, France begin strikes on Syria

The United States, Britain and France have jointly launched precision strike against Bashar al-Assad's Syria as a reply to the latter's alleged use of poison gas in Syria that killed at least 50 people last week.

US President Donald Trump later addressed the media in the White House and announced that the allies have launched joint strike in Syria's targeted areas and prepare to go with further measures until the Syrian regime stopped its use of chemical weapons.

Explosions were heard in the city of Damascus shortly after Trump began his media briefing.

Meanwhile Russia slammed the operation conducted by the US, UK and France and warned a stringent response to them.
