The wettest place on the earth is in India. Mawsynram in Meghalaya has an average annual rainfall of 11,871mm and has the highest recorded rainfall in the world. Villagers in Mawsynram use grass to soundproof their huts from deafening rain that pelts their homes during the rainy season.
Breathing in the peak time in Mumbai is equivalent to smoking 5 cigarettes in a day. Yet the most polluted city in India is not Mumbai. It is New Delhi, and smoking Delhi's toxic air is equivalent to smoking 7.7 cigarettes per day (as per HT report in 2019). New Delhi has the worst air quality worldwide.
