The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Jammu & Kashmir government on a plea to transfer the trial of the rape case where an 8-year-old girl was gang raped and then murdered to the outside of the state.

The top court advised the state government to give a reply by April 27 as well as to provide security to the family of the girl and to the lawyer who is representing the family in the court.

A plea was filed by the father of the girl Anuja Singh in the court to transfer the case to the outside of the state.

Meanwhile the Kathua court postponed the hearing of the case to April 28 due to the plea filed today despite the trial had started today.
