Senior BJP leader BJP Yeddyurappa takes oath as the Karnataka chief minister today morning after two days of dramatic political scenes in the state. The governor instructed Yeddyurappa to prove majority within 15 days.

Decks were cleared for BJP after the Supreme Court had rejected the  Congress' plea late midnight to stay the governor's decision to allow Yeddyurappa to take charge as CM.

BJP has the support of 104 MLAs and one independent MLA out of the 224 assembly seats where 113 seats were required to cross the half way mark. So it remains to be seen how well the government formation will shape up in the state and more dramatic political circus are on the cards.
