India's Anish Bhanwala became the latest sensation in the 21st Commonwealth Games as he marched on to become the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the CWG while he created a new ganes record at the shooting venue in Gold Coast, Australia.

Bhanwala, 15,scored 30 in the men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event while his fellow compatriot Neeraj Kumar finished fifth after being eliminated in stage 2.

Bhanwala's feat propelled India to stay steady at the table with 16 gold, 8 silver and 11 bronze.

Bhanwala's  emergence today shattered the record that was previously held by Manu Bhaker who became the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at CWG after she won in the women's 10m air rifle finals.
