On the occasion of the sixth anniversary of Digital India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the people who benefited from the various schemes provided by the government. Farmers, students, and various other beneficiaries shared their experiences as to how adopting digital methods improved and made their lives easier. The Digital India Program was launched on July 1, 2015, by the Prime Minister.

On the anniversary of Digital India, PM Modi spoke to some of the people who benefited from the scheme and one of them is a class five student, Suhani Sahu, as she talked about how the Diksha scheme has made her studies more interactive and enjoyable.  She also added that one receives a link on WhatsApp from where they get to learn a lot of things, there are many cartoons also on this platform for their entertainment.

DIKSHA serves as the national digital infrastructure for teachers. All teachers across the nation have been equipped with advanced digital technology as part of this platform which helps them to reach students in the interior parts of the country and educate them with different and fun methods and techniques.

Another person that the Prime Minister spoke to was Prahlad Borghad, a farmer in Maharashtra. He spoke to PM Modi about how the e-NAM platform has opened the doors for small farmers like him. He also included that "we have been using the platform since 2018. We are getting more value for our products and able to sell it conveniently". This digital initiative has also reduced the burden of transport from farmers as now they don’t have to go anywhere to sell their products.

National Agriculture Market or e-NAM is an online trading platform for agricultural commodities in India. It was launched by the Minister of Agriculture in 2016 with the support of PM Modi. The market facilitates farmers, traders, and buyers with online trading in commodities. The market helps in providing better price discoveries and providing facilities for smooth marketing of their produce. This online trading platform was started by the government to ease the life of sellers, small businesses, etc.

Another beneficiary who chose to remain anonymous spoke to the Prime Minister and how he had benefited from of National Teleconsultation Service program (e-sanjeevani), and talked about how easy it had become to consult the doctors due to the digital revolution, especially during Covid-19 time, when he needed medical consultation for his grandmother. He said that this application really helped him a lot and would be recommending it to others who require it.

"With the improvement in technology, I hope more people will be able to use telemedicine," said the Prime Minister, promoting India to use Digital Technology. He also said that schemes like Diksha, e-NAM, e-Sanjeevani, and many other schemes launched by the government should be shared with students, farmers, and other citizens as this would help them further and make their life quite convenient especially for those people living in the rural areas.

These digital applications and schemes which have been launched by the government are of great use to the people and quite helpful. The modern age is the age of technology, so the government is encouraging more and more people to use these apps available on the Digital India website to help them be as “techno-savvy” as possible.
