Digital payment platform Paytm closed its offices in Gurugram and Noida for two days as reports came that one of its employees who travelled to Italy was tested positive for coronavirus. Paytm in its official statement has told that it has asked the team members of the COVID-19 patients to get a health checkup done immediately while the offices will remain shut for sanitizing process.
“One of our colleagues based out of Gurugram office, who recently returned from Italy post a vacation, has now been tested positive for Coronavirus. He is receiving appropriate treatment and we are extending complete support to his family,” a Paytm spokesperson told media.
All employees have been asked to work from home as a precautionary measure. There will however be no impact on Paytm services and business will continue as usual, the spokesperson added. Many companies are taking safety measures to safeguard their employees
