At the present Paris Olympics, actress Jessica Alba—best known for roles in Entourage, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and Never Been Kissed—celebrates numerical gender equality.

The actress used Instagram to emphasise that the Paris Olympics are the first in history to achieve numerical gender parity, with an equal number of male and female athletes competing.

The post read: “Paris will be the first Olympics in history to achieve numerical gender parity with the same number of male and female athletes participating.”

Paris hosted the opening ceremony for the Summer Olympics in 2024 on July 26.

The ceremony included a parade of athletes, the lighting of the Olympic cauldron, and an artistic presentation representing French culture.

With his proclamation, French President Emmanuel Macron officially opened the Games and commenced the 16-day competition.

Furthermore, Jessica recently shared a study on her Instagram stories that says women require an extra 20 minutes of sleep for their bodies to perform at their optimal levels. This served as another piece of evidence in her support of women getting more sleep.

Interestingly, according to a study, women require an extra 20 minutes of sleep because their brains are continuously involved in “invisible labour,” such as planning and decision-making.
