Veteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra has been accused of sexual abuse in a complaint filed against by his cousin in Himachal Pradesh. The victim alleges that the abuse took place when she 18 years old and Jeetendra was around 28 years of age.
The victim asserted that she decided to file a police complaint after the demise of her parents, who would have been heartbroken if they ever got to know about the sexual abuse by Jeetendra.
The woman said that the alleged assault occurred in January 1971, when Jeetendra asked her father for permission to take her to a film shoot, during which he allegedly sexually abused her. The victim also stated that she wants closure for the mental trauma she suffered for years after the alleged abuse.
However, the actor along with his advocate Rizwan Siddiquee representing him denied these accusations and stated that the complaint made baseless claims. He said, “Foremost my client categorically denies any such incident. Even otherwise such baseless, ridiculous and fabricated claims cannot be entertained by any court or police after a span of almost 50 years.”
