The first trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was recently released. The film is a sequel of the film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which is a prequel to the Harry Potter films.
Eddie Redmayne’s returns in the film as the magical zoologist Newt Scamander who was last seen in New York, tracking down some of his escaped fantastic beasts before getting embroiled in a larger plot with the infamous dark wizard Grindelwald (portrayed by Johnny Depp) who wants to conquer the wizarding world.
Actress Katherine Waterston plays Newt’s love interest Porpetina Goldstein while Dan Fogler as Newt’s muggle friend Jacob Kowalski. Ezra Miller returns as Credence Barebone, who seems to have survived his apparent death in the previous movie.
The second movie will pick up after the events of the first, following Grindelwald’s capture. The trailer also shows glimpses of Jude Law as a youthful Albus Dumbledore, who seems to be working behind the scenes with Newt to fight Grindelwald.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is set to release on November 18, 2018.
