A talented singer, an amazing actor and a perceptive director, the multi-talented Farhan Akhtar celebrates his 44th birthday and is all set to ring in his birthday in tinsel town with his close friends and family.
Born in Mumbai to screenwriters Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani, he grew up under the influence of the Hindi film industry.
Farhan made his debut in Bollywood as a director with his film Dil Chahta Hai in 2001. The film gained recognition and was successful and gained popularity especially among the younger generation. The film won many awards, including National Film Award for Best Feature Film and a Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay. He directed the entertainer “Don” as well as the critically acclaimed film “Lakshya.”
He began his career as an actor with the 2008 hit "Rock On" which incidentally also marked his debut as a singer. Furthermore, he continued to taste success with stellar films such as “Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” and the brilliant biopic “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.”
