It was recently reported that Ashutosh Gowarikar had approached Kareena Kapoor Khan for the Hindi remake of the Marathi film Apala Manus.
Directed by Satish Rajwade and produced by Ajay Devgn, Apala Manus itself is an adaptation of a Marathi play named Katkon Trikon written by Vivek Bele. The film featured Nana Patekar, Iravati Harshe and Sumeet Raghavan in pivotal roles. The film follows the story of a couple living with an elderly parent where unexpected situations would make them face several emotional challenges.
Nothing however has been finalised so far. Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently busy with Veere Di Wedding directed by Shashanka Ghosh, where she stars alonside Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. It is co-produced by Anil Kapoor Productions and Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms. The film is set to hit theatres on June 1, 2018.
