After delivering hits like Humpy Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Varun and filmmaker Shashank Khaitan are collaborating for Karan Johar’s film Rannbhoomi, marking this as their third film together. The film is touted to be a revenge drama. The film is set to hit theatres in 2020.
Karan Johar took to Twitter to announce the film where he first teased a small video before sharing further details for the same.
Varun Dhawan also made an announcement on Twitter where he wrote, “#RANNBHOOMI. Diwali 2020. A warrior will rise.@karanjohar @ShashankKhaitan @DharmaMovies.”
Talking of the film Karan Johar said, “Rannbhoomi is Shashank's colossal and ambitious imagination to attempt a hat-trick with Varun and Dharma Productions.”
Shashank Khaitan asserted, “Rannbhoomi is a warrior film, which showcases love, relationships, sacrifices, revenge, and heroism. I remember, I began developing it in December 2015 and shared the idea with Varun, who got excited about it. Now, Karan has given us the wings to fly and we are excited to turn this dream into a reality.”
