Mumbai: At a significant event held this week at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais. This MoU marks a crucial step towards the computerisation of Eklavya Model Residential Schools in Maharashtra.

Under this transformative project, the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) has taken a commendable step by funding the purchase of 1000 computers and 76 Tabs for 38 Eklavya Model Residential Schools in the State.

Governor Bais, in his address, praised JNPA’s thoughtful decision to fund the computerisation of the Eklavya Model Residential Schools. He expressed his belief that this initiative will not only enhance the quality of instruction but also equip tribal pupils with the necessary skills to thrive in the competitive world, instilling a sense of hope and optimism.

It is worth noting that the MoU was signed between JNPA and the CDROME Education Society, who will be instrumental in carrying out the computerisation project as part of JNPA’s Corporate Social Responsibility.

The chairman of JNPA, Unmesh Wagh, handed over a symbolic cheque and exchanged the MoU with the President of CDROME Education Society, Vijay Vaasekar.

Pawar, GM (Traffic) JNPA Girish Thomas, Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India Dr. Raji N. S., Head of ERDC, Chandigarh Chetan Sahore and Officers from JNPA and the Department of Tribal Affairs were present.
