Mumbai: The SIES High School, Matunga, in collaboration with ISRO conducting a three day mega exhibition from September 18 in the school premises , Matunga, Mumbai. This event will serve as a platform to create awareness about space science and
astronomy amongst school students and public at large, thus igniting their interest in the emerging areas of space technology. It will also give them an opportunity to learn about ISRO’s history and glorious space missions through the scaled down
models of rockets, static panels, launch vehicles, satellites, covering information themes like ISRO Time Line, Earth Observation Satellites, Communication Satellites and their applications, inter-planetary mission, Human Space Program.
Visitors will be given a rare opportunity of having a face to face interaction with scientists and to discuss a series of topics based on space. Five scientists have come from ISRO to set up the exhibition. Over 175 schools from all over Mumbai, Thane ,
Navi Mumbai areas have registered and over 50 thousand students will be attending the three days show said the school headmistress Mrs. Kalyani Arumugam. The students have visited the exhibition at Nehru centre and were completely conversed
with the subject and were explaining to the visitors in the schools.

The highlight of the event will be display of models of the equipments used at ISRO Space Centre for the launching of Chandrayan I and II mission to moon.
