New Delhi: A fire broke out on Saturday evening on the second floor of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The fire allegedly broke out near the hospital's emergency ward and patients and employees were evacuated from one building. Patients were also moved from neighboring wards. No casualties have been reported so far in the blaze.
Twenty two fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. A short circuit is suspected to have caused the blaze, but the exact reason will only be known later after an inquiry, the chief fire officer said.
