Mumbai: The Governor of Maharashtra, C.P. Radhakrishnan, has greeted the people of Maharashtra, especially Muslim brothers and sisters, with the utmost respect on Eid-e-Milad.
In a message to the people, the Governor said, “Eid-e-Milad commemorates the birthday of Prophet Mohammed Paigambar. The festival reminds us of the eternal message of love, compassion and sacrifice given by the Holy Prophet. I extend my heartiest greetings and good wishes to the people of Maharashtra, especially Muslim brothers and sisters, on the auspicious occasion of Eid.”
It is observed on September 16, 2024, Prophet Mohammed’s birth anniversary. Muslims worldwide enthusiastically celebrate the festivities, which involve decorating streets and mosques, offering prayers, and conducting humanitarian actions.
