Mumbai: On Saturday, 22-year-old Raj Kanojia was shot in the leg during the firing incident involving NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. He has undergone surgery and is seeking help from the authorities before the marriage of his sister, which is scheduled for February next year.
Narrating the incident, Raj Kanojia said, “It was on the day of Dussehra Visarjan (immersion). We usually finish work at 5 p.m. We are tailors. We had gone to the temple for darshan, and while coming back, we stopped at a place where juice was being sold. We heard a loud noise from behind and initially thought it was firecrackers. Something hit my leg, and I thought it was a firecracker. But when I looked down, I saw blood oozing out, and suddenly, there was chaos all around.”
