Mumbai: Anushka Ranjan, an actress known for her roles in ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ and ‘Fittrat,’ is working to help women in need. The actress has formed an expert team to provide essential support to women in distress and victims of sexual violence.

Anushka’s mother, Anu Ranjan, has been at the forefront of addressing delicate issues related to the girl child and women’s rights through her NGO Beti. With the alarming increase in occurrences of sexual violence, Anushka believes there is an urgent and pressing need to establish a specialist support system that can provide victims with immediate assistance as well as long-term remedies.

Speaking about this new initiative, Anushka shared, “Empowering women has always been at the core of my work with my NGO, but in light of the growing challenges women face today, it’s crucial that we expand our efforts. The establishment of this expert panel is a step towards ensuring that women who have suffered from sexual violence receive the support they need—be it legal, psychological, or social.”

Anushka Ranjan, the actress, has expressed her commitment to creating a safe space for survivors of sexual violence. She emphasized that the initiative is not just about providing assistance, but also about nurturing resilience and hope in women who need it the most.
