New Delhi: The chairman of India's biggest state-owned steel producer was attacked in the national capital on Wednesday night by some individuals armed with iron rods, India Ltd's Steel Authority said.
The company said in a statement on Thursday that Anil Kumar Chaudhary, 58, was on his route home from officewhen his car was struck by another four-person occupied vehicle.
SAIL did not react to further questions about the reason behind the attack immediately and did not elaborate on it in the statement. On Friday, the firm is set to announce its results for the June quarter.o
