Mumbai: On Tuesday, the Dahi Handi festival was celebrated at various places in Maharashtra. BJP leader Praveen Darekar organised the festival in Ashok Van of the Dahisar area in Mumbai. Many political leaders, including Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, and MP Shrikant Shinde, also participated in this programme. In the programme, Union Minister Piyush Goyal broke the pot of Dahi Handi with his own hands.
This year, Goyal was elected as a Member of the 18th Lok Sabha, Representing the Mumbai North Lok Sabha constituency. The area of Dahisar falls in his constituency.
