ME News Bureau: A crack had been found in one of the Japanese bullet train said the authorities on Wednesday. This could have been a serious issue if it was unnoticed and the train was left to run as usual because it would have caused a derailment, transport officials said. The crew aboard had reported strange noises and burning smell when the train was out of the southern Japan station. It was when the train had stopped at the Nagoya Station in Central Japan for regular checks that the officials discovered the crack and also an oil leak. There were 100 passengers aboard unhurt.
