On Friday, an aircraft with 100 passengers including five crew members on board crashed near the town of Almaty in southeastern Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan's Civil Aviation Committee said in a statement that the aircraft was destined for the capital, Nur-Sultan, and "lost altitude during takeoff and broke through a concrete fence" before hitting a small building.
