World War II bomb defused in German city

 A World War II bomb has been successfully defused at the Germany's Nuremberg central railway station, authorities announced Wednesday. It was found at a construction site.
 
 It took the demolition master about an hour to remove the two igniters at both ends of the explosive device, Xinhua reported citing the Nuremberg city authorities. Approximately 1,300 residents had to leave their homes and businesses, which surround the main railway station. 
 
 According to the operation headquarters, the evacuation around the main railway station ran smoothly and efficiently in which some 520 members from the police, fire and rescue department participated. 
 
 Nuremberg, the second-largest city in Germany's Bavaria state, had been badly damaged in  World War II. About The 90 percent of the medieval city centre was destroyed.
