India’s first and only Commando trainer and “India’s Wonder Woman” visited the SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sion , Mumbai to give away prizes to NCC and NSS students for their achievements.
Dr. Seema along with her husband Major Deepak Rao, has trained more than 15,000 commandos from every elite Indian force including NSG Black Cats, Air force GARUD, ITBP, BSF, Navy MARCOS marine commandos besides training 15 state and city police force for nearly two decades with out receiving any compensation.
She is a pioneer in “close quarter battle” and the “art of fighting in tight proximity”. Rao is a 7th degree Black belt in military martial arts and one of a handful of instructors in the world authorised to teach Bruce Lee’s art of Jeet Kune Do. She is a Ph.d in Martial science, from USA universities and MD in Medicine, MBA in crisis Management from UK. Dr. Seema rao is also a reflex shooting expert and instructor. She has been instrumental in training various chapters from the forces and the state police under the directive of the home ministry.
