An exhibition showcasing 25 paintings of artist Neena Singh, concluded at Jehangir Art Gallery on Sunday. Titled"Inner Voyage", the exhibition was inaugurated by renowned Hindi Film Director Vishal Bharadwaj. When asked about the theme Neena Singh explains, "Inner Voyage is a series of compilation of all my works and my journey in the last ten years. It does not reflect on one particular theme."
Neena Singh started painting as a hobby during her free time, "I started painting purely as a hobby, I used to paint only after my work. But now I really enjoy it and do it very often. Painting gives me a lot of serenity and inner peace." Vishal Bharadwaj also praised Neena's work, "When I saw her paintings, it reminded me of a verse from Poet Ghulam Ali, I was deeply amazed by the depth, beauty and sadness in her work. Her exhibition is a true showcase and she should show her art work top art lovers across the country." Remarks K M Menon an art lover who saw the exhibition, I have seen her painting before and I really like her work. Each and every painting of her tries to connect with you, as an artist I feel that is more important.
Neena credits her hard work to god,"Almighty has been kind to me. My paint brush follows my imagination and I can see the result on the canvas. It has been a
wonderful journey, I have really enjoyed it."
