Chandrayaan 2 Leaves Eart

In the early hours of Wednesday, 23 days after its launch on July 22, the Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft left the Earth's orbit. A maneuver called' Trans Lunar Insertion' (TLI) was carried out at 2:21 am by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). Chandrayaan-2 will move towards the Moon after this procedure.India’s second moon mission ‘Chandrayaan-2’ is expected to reach the moon’s orbit on August 20 and land on the lunar surface on September 7.

The spacecraft reached the Lunar Transfer Trajectory effectively, according to the space agency. "Trans Lunar Insertion (TLI) maneuver was carried out at 0221 hrs IST as scheduled today (August 14, 2019).
