A couple has been arrested from Delhi’s Okhla area for links with Islamic State. Acting on a tip-off agencies arrested Jahanjeb Sami and Hina Bashir Beg for instigating youths in Delhi against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and exhorting them to commit terrorist acts.
Delhi Police’s special cell is interrogating the couple on their links with terror outfits. Agencies have recovered jihadi literature from their hiding place and police officials are scanning their mobile phones for more details. Efforts are on to track down their associates in India and arrest them.
