In a big jolt to former Minister of Finance and senior leader of Congress P. Chidambaram, the special CBI judge extended his judicial custody on Thursday until October 3.
Senior lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who appeared for Chidambaram, opposed the CBI's request for extension of judicial custody, said, "CBI's request does not give reasons for extending judicial custody and the accused has been in custody for 14 days."
