The defence minister Rajnath Singh, said on Wednesday that if Pakistan did not stop supporting terrorism then India would not be restrained. He said, referring to the Balakot airstrikes, that India upheld the neighbouring country's sovereignty.

Speaking at a Dhankya event in the outskirts of Jaipur, the Singh said, "When terrorists sent by Pakistan came to India and killed 40-45 of our CRPF staff, we had to attack terrorist training camps, but we did not attack Pakistan. “Don’t repeat the mistake of 1971 else be prepared for what will happen to PoK,” he said.
