Media Eye News Bureau: The Delhi High Court will give a hearing on the AAP lawmakers’ disqualification case today.

Over 20 AAP lawmakers were disqualified on January 20th for holding offices of profit, an act the law does not provide for as according to the provisions of office of profit, elected representatives are not allowed to hold positions of pay and perks in the government without specific laws that allow them to do so.

AAP however is insistent that the lawmakers drew no profits as parliamentary secretaries. The disqualification also led to a spat between AAP and the Election Commission as well.
