New Delhi:  On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a cross-party plea to all tiers of government, from panchayats to the federal level, to collaborate in a ‘mission mode’ and play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life.

Speaking to the country from the Red Fort’s ramparts, the prime minister insisted that the mechanisms for delivering government needed to be reinforced.

“The middle class gives a lot to the nation and expects a certain quality of life. It will be our endeavour to ensure minimum government interference and improve ease of living,” PM Modi emphasised.

The five main issues that fall under the general heading of “ease of living” are electricity, drinking water, health, education, and land and property.

Cooperation between the central and state governments up to the gram panchayat level will be necessary to realise Viksit Bharat’s goal by 2047.

“Reforms in governance have to be prioritised to realise the goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047,” the Prime Minister stressed, adding that these reforms will create a society in which government interference is minimal, bringing hope for a brighter future.

According to PM Modi, the government is resolutely devoted to guaranteeing the “ease of living” for its residents and will continue to take additional actions in this respect.

“I would like to assure my countrymen that our commitment to reforms is not limited to pink paper editorials. It is a firm commitment with the intention of strengthening the country,” the Prime Minister told the gathering, aiming to reassure the audience of the government’s dedication.

By improving the methods by which government interventions are delivered, the Center hopes to promote cooperation and good governance between the federal and state governments, improving the standard of living for people in rural and urban areas.

As per PM Modi, the desire for a developed India should reach every district, block, and village, and the vision of Viksit Bharat may be realised through Viksit (developed) states. In his speech, the prime minister also praised the Aspirational Districts Program, led by NITI Aayog.
