West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the central government led by the BJP on Wednesday of using brute force to squat in the Kashmir Valley voices of dissent.

Banerjee also said the country's major institutions are led by retired bureaucrats, who act as the government's "yes men."

What's happening in Kashmir? The government uses brute force to squirt all voices of dissent in the Valley, "she said while addressing a rally of learners here. Banerjee dared to arrest her for increasing her voice against the government, claiming that she would" not bow down before the BJP.

The nation is heading for presidential type of government, and there will be no room for democracy, said Banerjee. "The central government either threatens the leaders of the opposition or buys them out with cash. It's now after Bengal as we oppose its policies and divisive policies," she added.
