ISI agent and mastermind of Kanpur derailment arrested in Nepal

New Delhi, Feb 7: The alleged mastermind and an ISI agent behind the tragic derailment of Kanpur train caused by planting IEDs on the tracks, Shamsul Huda has been arrested in Nepal. He was arrested by the Nepal police after getting deported from Dubai. 

A senior NIA agent while confirming the news of arrest stated that it was a massive breakthrough for the police in understanding the logistics behind the new scheme to sabotage India and solving three cases handing over to it recently; the case of unwxploded IED near the tracks in East Champaran as well as the suspected sabotage angle behind Indore Patna express train accident in Kanpur and the Koneru train accident. The NIA is in touch with the Nepalese police to speed up the process of extradition of the agent into India. 

The NIA has prima facia proof backing the ISI sabotage theory and will investigate further. Three accused arrested in the case are Motihari, Mukesh Yadav, Motillal PAswan and Umashankar Patel have revealed in their interrogation the plan back by ISI to sabotage railways in India  and confirmed their roles in the failed attempts near champaran. 

They have confirmed with both the CBI and NIA that they were in constant touch with HUDA along with a kingpin based out of Karachi who has links with the ISI before the planned attacks.
