Bhopal: The cabinet of Madhya Pradesh passed a resolution on Wednesday calling on the central government to revoke the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and to seek changes to the National Population Register (NPR). Citing the various country-wide protests against the CAA, the resolution stated that it violates the fundamental principles of the constitution, namely Article 14, which guarantees equality before the law, thereby denouncing discrimination on the grounds of religion.
