.New Delhi: Manohar Lal Khattar will take over as Haryana's chief ministe todayr. Dushyant Chautala, whose Jannayak Janta Party backed the BJP after it fell short of support, would also take oath as his deputy at the ceremony at Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh at 2.15 p.m.
Mr Khattar was accompanied by Dushyant Chautala when he met Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya at his official residence, where he was invited to form the next government in the state. The BJP, which has 40 seats, has signed an alliance with the party of Dushyant Chautala which won 10 seats in the state polls.. Seven independent MLAs have extended support to the BJP, enabling it in the 90-member house to cross a total of 57 seats.
